Project Brief:

With the existing soft wood playground equipment starting to rot, Lifton Primary School saw this as an opportunity to replace the equipment and create a more varied play space.

The equipment for Key Stage 1 needed to provide ways that the children could increase their balance and co-ordination skills, encourage climbing and physical play alongside more imaginative games.

As a rural school, the materials used needed to blend in with the surroundings, but also blend in with an existing piece of equipment that was chosen to stay.

The Result:

KOMPAN installed some key items from the durable Robinia range, including the playhouse with a roof which gives children opportunity for imaginative play, as well as a tower slide, springers and somersault bars.

Testimonial:

“It was important to us when choosing a supplier for our playground that they were reputable, have equipment which looked good and was of really high quality. Working with KOMPAN has been great, they kept us informed about developments with the project and the installers were friendly and professional.

The children absolutely love using the new play equipment and we have definitely noticed a change in their physical ability. Nobody wants to miss out on playtimes!”
